How to Achieve a Glowing No-Makeup Look
Achieving a fresh-faced look on your wedding day does take a bit of effort. These four essential steps will have your skin positively glowing on your special day.
1. Moisturize
Tinted moisturizer may provide some extra hydration, but that doesn’t mean you should skip your regular face cream. Moisturizing your skin before applying tinted moisturizer will ensure your skin will stay soft and hydrated.
2. Apply tinted moisturizer
Pump out a small amount of tinted moisturizer and then gently massage it into your skin with your fingers, using small, circular motions. To get an even, natural look, try using a foundation brush or makeup sponge to blend the product into the areas beside your nose and other small crevices.
3. Use concealer on trouble areas
If you have a few blemishes that your tinted moisturizer can’t completely conceal, then the next step for a flawless face is some well-placed concealer. Simply dot a bit of concealer on to the area you want to hide and then, using a concealer brush, blend it outward until the redness is invisible.
If dark circles are the problem, apply your concealer carefully to avoid damaging the delicate skin under your eyes. Use a light patting motion to apply and then finish with a concealer brush or sponge to carefully blend the concealer into your skin.
4. Set with powder
If you have dry to normal skin, you may be able to skip this step completely. However, if you have combination or oily skin, setting your concealer with powder is a good idea. Choose a powder that won’t leave you looking too matte and apply it sparingly.
A loose or mineral powder can be a good choice to achieve a natural look. Some of our high-end faves are Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder and MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Face Powder. If you’re looking for a lower-cost product, Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder is a great choice.
